The Nikon FE2 is the electronic-shutter classic that took Nikon's compact SLR line to its peak. Introduced in 1983, it pairs silky aperture-priority automation with a titanium-bladed shutter to 1/4000 and flash sync at 1/250, all wrapped in a dense, beautifully damped body. For many it is the sweet spot of the manual-focus Nikon range: automation when you want it, full control when you do not.
