The Nikon New FM2 is the all-mechanical workhorse that defined rugged 35mm shooting for two decades. Fully manual and battery-independent but for the meter, its honeycomb-pattern titanium shutter reaches 1/4000 with flash sync at 1/250. Built to keep working long after everything else has stopped, it is the desert-island Nikon for photographers who trust mechanics over electronics. This is the black late type.
